During the past fifteen years we have wittiest an overwhelming interest for the conception of hierarchical materials and their applications in various fields such as drug delivery, energy storage and catalysts. These materials are ideally composed of interconnected porosity at various length scales ; from the micro- to the macroporous dimension. During the seminar various approaches to such materials and in particular to the development of hierarchical zeolites and their development through surfactant-oriented strategies will be approached in detail.
