Scientific Objectives

The activities of this research axis focus on the synthesis of new crystalline microporous structures (zeolites, MOFs, and related solids) and on the optimization of synthesis processes for three-dimensional inorganic and hybrid porous materials using soft chemistry or hydrothermal routes. These materials are developed for applications in adsorption, catalysis, mechanical energy storage, and environmental protection.
The activities also include multiscale characterization using various diffraction, microscopy, and spectroscopy techniques, as well as functionalization, shaping, and the study of gas and pollutant adsorption properties.
